Thanks for being on The Rag today! This past summer (1996) the Peon Queen had the pleasure of living/working in San Francsico for five weeks. While in the Bay Area, she interviewed Alix Dobkin in her new Oakland home, hooked up with Betty for their Girl Spot record-release party, and enjoyed the company of Bean and Linda of D'Cuckoo, who displayed & discussed their latest cyber-tribal digs at Joe's Digital Diner, where Queen Peon was living/working.
If that wasn't enough to tickle her fancy, a week after returning to the fields of corn, PQ took off in Fanny, her new Chevy van, to attend the Michigan Womyn's Music Festival. There, she saw many old friends, and made some new, managing to capture a few notable faces on film. Included in her view-finder over the last few years at Michigan were Alison Bechdel, Gretchen Phillips, Lynn Breedlove, and Kay Turner, to name a few.
You can see more womynly faces here in the near future as PQ makes more time to post them. In fact, don't be surprised right now if the above links don't work. PQ has to do other things too!
