The following illustrates a three-step process the Fall, 1996 Art 2 class undertook to pay homage to the Apple IIe. The "homage" idea was mine since it was the first Apple computer I worked on. We also happened to have a surplus of old, broken machines headed for the dumpster.


Step One
Draw multiple views of the computers in order to really study the exterior details (this also helped build anticipation and appreciation of the objects we were about to dismember for eternity).

Step Two
Okay kids, here's the phillips screwdrivers, have at 'em! We actually were systematic in our approach to taking them apart. We put similar parts (screws, bolts, small chips, etc.) in cans, and bigger parts like harddrive motors in a big box. These are photos of the actual dismemberment process.
