A design may be unified by providing a special accent, allowing
something to dominate or to serve as a nucleus or center of interest. Unity can be
created by developing a visual hierarchy (making particular visual elements conform to
an order of importance by establishing difference in size, color, tone, etc.) and by
the balance of contrasts.
