Prior to creating these paintings, Art 1 students learn the basics of pigment color-theory and how to create and blend using the primary red, yellow, and blue colors. They also created smaller surreal-landscapes from magazine photos, then enlarged them using a grid system. Finally, on the 18X24 tagboard, they sketched versions of the smaller composition and painted them. The results follow, enjoy.
