Art created by people using computers is developing an increasing
presence in every aspect of our society. Artists have always
taken advantage of new developments in technology, yet the computer
serves as a "meta" tool, one which emulates other tools. At Uni,
students have been challenged to find out what the computer can do
that can't be done in any other traditional media. The images
that follow are examples of individual student exploration.(Most work has
been created using Adobe Photoshop 3.0 on
the Apple Power Macintosh. Other methods will include Alias/Wavefront on
an SGI Indy Workstation)
